Abelardo Curdumí

Abelardo Curdumí is a partner and Co-Founder of 5th Street Advisors, LLC. He has over forty years of experience in banking, finance, and wealth management.  Abe oversees the management of 5th Street as well as the firm's asset trading, and also works closely with individual clients on financial planning issues, particularly estate planning and insurance coverage. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP ®) and also certified in Long Term Care insurance (CLTC). 

Before founding 5th Street, Abe enjoyed a successful career in trade finance and investment banking. He worked for First Chicago (now JP Morgan Chase), where he served as the President of First Chicago Trading Company and then as Senior Vice President and head of the Emerging Markets Department. He later moved to Republic National Bank of New York in a similar capacity. Abe received a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University, and a Masters in International (MIM) from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and has working knowledge of French and Portuguese. 

Abe was born in Holguin, Cuba. He is married and has two grown children, a daughter and a son, and lives in Old Greenwich, Connecticut.
